Make sure you have the Full Control privileges set on your windows 2000/XP.
To do that:
- Click on start and run, type in Regedit and click ok.
- Click on the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, click on the plus sign next to Software
- Under Software, right click the Sierra folder and select permissions
- In the upper box select the group named Users
- In the Lower box check the box named Full Control
- Click Ok
- Close the registry Editor Program
- Retry the program
Windows 2000:
- Click on start and run, type in regedit32 and click OK
- Click on the window that starts with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Double click on software
- Under software, highlight the Sierra folder, not Sierra Online or any other entry, just Sierra
- Click on security across the top and then permissions
- Check the users and ensure that they have the allow options read and full control
- Once the permissions are set to allow, click OK and exit the registry editor
- Retry the program, go through setting up the options and they should not come up any longer
