All text has an Inside color and an Outline color. Some of the pre-designed projects have separate colors for each already selected. If you are changing the color, it is recommended that you change both Inside and Outline color.

Please follow along with this example to see how to change both:

  1. Launch the Hallmark program.
  2. Click one of the category buttons: Birthdays, Holidays, Day by Day, Special Days, or Projects
  3. On the project selection screen, select the project you wish to work with.
  4. On the Personalize screen, click the Art Studio button in the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
  5. Click one of the words. You will now see a box surrounding that word. This is a Text Box.
  6. Click the Color button that is now visible on the left-hand side of the screen.
  7. On the Change Color screen, click the Inside Color button on the top left-hand side.
  8. Click the Standard tab in the "Select new color" section.
  9. On the Standard tab, click one of the colors. The text is now showing that new color.
  10. Click the Outline Color button on the top left-hand side of the window.
  11. Click the Standard tab in the "Select new color" section.
  12. Click one of the colors from the color selections. The text is now showing that new color, as well.
  13. Click the OK button. You will now see the updated text on the screen.

Note: This program is not a word processing program. Some words are broken into groups of letters to apply special fonts/effect to an individual letter. For example, imagine that one of the words on the project is "Happy". To get the capital "H" for this word, the word has to be broken into two separate Text Boxes. One Text Box will be for the letter "H" and the other for "appy". This way, the letter "H" can have a different type of font, size, color or effect applied to it, that is not applied to the "appy". In this case, you would select the letter “H” and apply the color change to it. Then, you would select the “appy” and apply the color change to that.

Note: Some of the projects have the text saved within an image on the pre-designed project. If this is the case, you will not be able to delete that text.

Note: On the Change Color screen, you can use the "Outline Size" arrow buttons to increase or decrease the thickness of the outline.
