To resolve this issue, you will need to manually run the setup.exe file from the disk. This can be done one of the two following ways:
Method 1
- Insert disk 1 in the drive, if it is not already there.
- Close the main installation screen, if it is not already closed.
- Click on the Start button.
- Select the Run option. This will open the Run window.
- Read the note below and then type the following in the Open field:
X:\setup.exe
Note: Replace the X with the letter name to your drive that has the disk inserted in it. For example, if the disk is in your CD-ROM drive and the letter for your CD-ROM drive is “E”, then you would type: E:\setup.exe
Method 2
- Insert disk 1 in the drive, if it is not already there.
- Close the main installation screen, if it is not already closed.
- Locate and open the My Computer option on either your Start menu or Desktop.
- Locate the drive that has the Card Studio disk 1. Typically, it is labeled HCS_2005_CD1.
- Right-click on that drive. This will open a pop-up menu.
- Select the Open option from the pop-up menu.
- Locate the setup.exe file. This is an Application file that often has a computer icon or a double-arrow icon next to it.
- Double-click on the setup.exe file to start the installation.
