There are two possible issues with separate solutions for each. If the problem is that both the top and bottom of the program window are cut off, this means that your display resolution is set to something other than what the program requires. Hallmark Card Studio 2011 requires a minimum display resolution of 1024x768. If the resolution is set to anything lower than this, you will see both the top and bottom of the program window cut off.

To resolve this issue, you will need to change your display resolution to match the minimum requirement. Typically, the method used to do this is to go to the Control Panel and open the Display properties. Then, on the Settings tab you will drag the slider bar until the resolution is set to at least 1024x768.

The second common issue is related to the DPI settings. If the DPI settings are set to something other than the default, the program will open with the bottom of the screen cut off. The top of the screen will be fine.

To resolve this issue, you will need to change the DPI setting back to their default setting. The method you do this will depend on your version of Windows:

Windows XP

  1. Close all programs
  2. Go to Control Panel - Display
  3. Click on the Settings tab
  4. Click on the Advanced button
  5. Locate the DPI settings and switch it to "Normal size (96 DPI)"
  6. Click Ok on both windows
  7. When prompted to restart your computer, allow it to restart.

Windows 7

  1. Close all programs
  2. Go to Control Panel - Appearance & Personalization - Display
  3. Set the DPI to "Smaller - 100% (default)"
  4. Accept the change to the settings
  5. If prompted to restart the computer, allow it to restart.
