Make sure you have the Full Control privileges set on your windows 2000/XP.


To do that:

  1. Click on start and run, type in Regedit and click ok.
  2. Click on the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  3. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, click on the plus sign next to Software
  4. Under Software, right click the Sierra folder and select permissions
  5. In the upper box select the group named Users
  6. In the Lower box check the box named Full Control
  7. Click Ok
  8. Close the registry Editor Program
  9. Retry the program

Windows 2000:

  1. Click on start and run, type in regedit32 and click OK
  2. Click on the window that starts with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  3. Double click on software
  4. Under software, highlight the Sierra folder, not Sierra Online or any other entry, just Sierra
  5. Click on security across the top and then permissions
  6. Check the users and ensure that they have the allow options read and full control
  7. Once the permissions are set to allow, click OK and exit the registry editor
  8. Retry the program, go through setting up the options and they should not come up any longer
